The Blameless platform offers a Microsoft Teams integration that allows you to manage and orchestrate your incident resolution workflow natively in Microsoft Teams.
Note: The user can install the Blameless application from two locations:
- Installation from the Microsoft AppSource (preferred method for prospective Blameless customers)
- Installation directly from the Microsoft Teams client (preferred method for existing Blameless customers)
Installation however, is dependent on your administrator's application installation policy.
Consult with your administrator and refer to the Microsoft Teams' Application Policy for more information.

Navigate to the Blameless web application Settings page, scroll down and click on the "Messaging" category.

Select the "Manage" button in the Microsoft Teams section.

Enable Microsoft Teams by moving the "Enable Microsoft Teams" slider to the 'ON' position. Grant the Blameless Bot application authorization by completing the OAuth flow.
Note: This authorization should be performed by an Azure administrator, specifically an Administrator with either 'Privileged role administrator' or 'Global administrator' role permissions.

Click "(Re)Authorize" and complete the auth flow.
After completing the OAuth flow, you are ready to install the Blameless bot to your entire Teams organization, or an isolated Team as desired.

Go to the Microsoft AppSource site.

Select the “Apps” option in the Search drop down and enter “Blameless” in the search field.

Click on the “Get it now” button.

Fill out the contact form accordingly, and proceed to app installation via the "Next" button. You will now be redirected to the Microsoft Teams client with the Blameless app window open.

Click on the Blameless app tile.

Click on the "Add to team" button.

Search for your team name and click "Set up" to finalize the installation. Upon successful installation, you will automatically be redirected to the "General" channel and are ready to test the bot.

Navigate to the app directory and search for Blameless from within your Microsoft Teams client.

Click on the Blameless app tile.

Click on the "Add to team" button.

Search for your team name and click "Set up" to finalize the installation.
Upon successful installation, you will automatically be redirected to the General channel and are ready to test the bot.

From your Microsoft Teams client: Navigate to a Team which has the Blameless bot installed.

Invoke the bot by mentioning it in a conversation, e.g.
@blameless
.
Now that you have successfully installed the bot, it's time to become more familiar with its features.
