Feature Release
INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
Allow a designated role (i.e. Commander) to mark any task as completed and re-assign any task
Previously, only a task's owner could complete or reassign a task to a new user/role. There is now a designated role that is configurable per incident type which can be given the permission to reassign any task to a new role and/or mark any task as completed.
COMMSFLOW
Custom communication templates shared across communication flows
CommsFlow has been enhanced for:
- Teams looking to standardize how updates should be crafted for internal and external communication, throughout incident resolution workflows
- When creating or updating communication flows through the CommsFlow flow editor (you can save your favorite messages as new templates or apply previously saved templates to your message)
- After selecting a template for your message, you can customize the message independently of the template.
- You can update any existing template independently of your existing communication flows
Allow user to insert Incident Type as a variable
Incident type can now be specified as a variable into the subject or body of a message sent automatically by CommsFlow.
JIRA
Setting Blameless and custom values for required Jira fields in the Global Jira Settings
Setting Blameless and custom values for required Jira fields in the Global Jira Settings
Blameless further expands the list of supported field types for:
- Required custom Jira fields which are automatically populated by Blameless when starting new incidents.
- When used as default values when creating new follow up actions via the Blameless bot in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or the Blameless web UI
Required custom Jira fields expecting a single numerical or string-based value can be auto-populated with Blameless incident data of the same data type.
RETROSPECTIVE
Assign anyone from the Slack user directory as the Retrospective owner from the web UI
Until now the owner of a retrospective could only be assigned to a member of the incident team. Now, the owner of a retrospective can be assigned to any Slack user from the Slack workspace where you have installed the Blameless bot. This requires the integration with Slack to be enabled.
Bug Fixes
INCIDENTS
Fix `codeSnippet` wrapping and styling in event-timeline (INC-200)
Issue:
The `codeSnippet` block layout in event-timeline is displayed in a less than human-readable format.
Fix:
Revise styling and wrap to be more readable.
RELIABILITY INSIGHTS
RI Timezone selector shows GMT -8 for Los Angeles instead of GMT -7 (DST) (INC-158)
Issue:
The timestamps were correct but there is some visual confusion on the web UI when selecting the timezone.
Fix:
All dropdown fields requiring a user to select a timezone throughout the Blameless web UI, have been updated to show daylight savings time-impacted time zones. Several time zones previously used are no longer available, but have automatically been replaced with an existing appropriate matching time zone.
