Incident Management
Blameless' incident management UI facilitates all aspect of an incident workflow to help you reduce time to resolution, maximize efficiency during mission critical times, and ensure that all relevant data is captured throughout the process.
Before starting with Incident Management, we recommend you first read through our quickstart guide and understand the various configurations available in Settings.
Getting Started
Navigate to the Blameless UI and from the Incident list page, find the incident you want to manage.

If this is your first Incident, you will see a blank listing with instructions on how to start an Incident.

Navigating the Incident List
Once an Incident(s) have been generated, you will be presented with a list of incidents that are available.

At the top of the Incident Landing page, above the list of existing Incidents, are the following features:
- Filter
- Advanced Filtering
- Sort by
- Direction

Filter
You can Filter by Incident Title. Start typing to auto-fill the list results.
Advanced
Click on the "Advanced" link and Blameless expandsa side modal containing the following advanced filter options:
- Severity
- Status
- Created by
- Include Tags
- Exclude Tags
- Type
- Created
- Updated
- Retrospective

When set, advanced filters are preserved when navigating from and to the incident list page using the web browser back and forward arrows. The filtered incident list can also be bookmarked in your web browser, as the settings selected in the advanced filter are preserved as parameters in the URL.
Applying the Advanced Filters
Blameless allows the user the ability to filter the list of Incidents based on the above listed filter options.
- Click on the "Advanced" link. The Filter modal opens from the right, exposing the filtering options.
- Select the desired filtering.
- Click on the "Apply Filters" button. The "Advanced" modal closes.
To the right of the "Advanced" link, you will now see a number. This number represents the chosen filters.
- To clear the retained filters: Open the Advanced Filter modal.
- Click on the "Clear All" link.

Blameless retains the applied filters until cleared.

Severity
Severity itself contains several subtypes:
- SEV0
- SEV1
- SEV2
- SEV3
Status
Status itself contains several subtypes:
- Investigating
- Identified
- Monitoring
- Resolved
- Duplicated
Created by
Created by allows the user to start typing to identify the Creator.
Include Tags
Include Tags allows the user to start typing to identify the Tags to be included.
Exclude Tags
Exclude Tags allows the user to start typing to identify the Tags to be excluded.
Type
Type Filters are determined by the Settings section.
Created
Created is a Date Picker field, allowing the user to set a range:
- Create (To)
- Created (From)
Updated
Updated is a Date Picker field, allowing the user to set a range:
- Updated (From)
- Updated (To)
Retrospective
Retrospective itself contains several subtypes:
- Required
- Not Required

- Options will appear as defined in the Incident choices made within the Settings.
- Incident Severity options are defined by the selections made within the Settings as well.

You can Apply any filters by clicking on the "Apply Filters" button or select the "Clear All" link at the bottom of the pop out modal.
Sorting
Customers can now sort the Flows:
- Created at (default)
- Last Sent
- Last Updated
- Number (#) of sends
- Commsflow Name
They can also be sorted by:
- Ascending
- Descending
